This option is excellent for quick bursts of power needed if you don’t have time to fully charge the battery using another powering option. Two (2) turns per second will power the internal rechargeable battery.
2.  Adjustable solar panels mounted on the top of the radio are designed to be moveable so it can be positioned to catch the most sun at any time of day. The solar power accumulated through the panel can power the working radio as well as charge the built-in rechargeable battery.
3. Three (3) AA Batteries can be used to run the radio for maximum reception. Batteries can be used sparingly when maximum reception is needed and removed to conserve them when alternate power sources are readily available.
4. The built-in rechargeable Ni-MH battery pack can power the radio for more than 12 hours when fully charged by one of the other 4 powering options (crank, solar, AC adaptor, or USB)
5. An optional AC Adaptor can be used to charge the internal battery pack if you have access to an external power source. Although unlikely in an emergency situation (and unnecessary considering all the other ways to charge) it may be useful for pre-charging your radio for weekend trips etc.
6. A USB Cord can be used to connect the radio to a computer to power the radio and charge the battery pack. Additionally, the USB cord and included cell phone adapters can turn the radio into an emergency power station to charge other small items like a cell phone.
